Yoga on the Beach, A ‘Hatteras Guide’ Must Do!


Yoga on the beach is the perfect way to begin your day in a peaceful state of mind. As you enter the Kinnakeet Shores beach pavilion, located beside the Avon Pier, you are taken back by the beauty that surrounds you. This venue provides an ideal environment to practice in as you have the benefits of hearing the waves crash on the shore, seeing the Carolina blue sky above you, smelling the salt air and feeling the warm energy from the sun. Yoga on the Beach is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning at 8 a.m. and is led by instructors Tami Thompson, Ashley Gayle, and Paulette Boyden. The class is an hour long and yoga mats are provided. It is $15 for non members. Cash is accepted on site, or you can pre-pay at the front desk of Koru. If you are searching for a unique way to relax, stretch, and take in the sights and sounds of nature, then yoga on the beach with Koru should be a MUST!
