Mothers Day Yoga and Brunch Recap
Treating Mom Right; Second Annual Mother’s Day Yoga & Brunch at Koru was a Hit!
(Avon, NC) May 10, 2010 – Over the weekend Koru was proud to host a special Mother’s Day Yoga Class with a brunch that followed. For the second year in a row this class was a huge success. Mother’s, families, and members of community who just wanted to celebrate the occasion came out to enjoy this restorative class. Participants left the class feeling like jell-o from the massages they received, and with full bellies thanks to the Catering Co. of Hatteras Island.
Koru’s Yoga Director and class instructor Tami Thompson says, “This was a totally relaxing event for all who participated. Pairing the massage with the Yoga poses allows for gentle opening to occur and restoration to take place. A special tribute was given to honor mothers throughout the world as well.”
Treating a mother, a wife, or a friend to experience health and wellness is a gift that will last a lifetime. Mothers work so hard for their families or for their careers, and it is important to acknowledge and celebrate how great they truly are! This Restorative Yoga class was truly a type of active relaxation. The poses have overall health benefits, and by adding massage only ensues calming and rejuvenation of the body.
Koru hosts many workshops or special Yoga classes throughout the year. Private group Yoga classes are available upon request. Keep up with the schedule here! Or you can call 252-995-3125 for questions, bookings, or joining the fitness center or Yoga Studio today!
